SUYL 4: Soweto Showdown

Episode 4 of the Signal Bikes 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗨𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹  video series ventures through the hustle and bustle of Soweto, celebrating the passion of a home grown shredder on his local turf 🚲💨 🇿🇦

With a huge smile on his face, Mpho Nxumalo says to Oli that he is addicted to cycling after buying his first 'real' mountain bike, the S930, two years ago with the idea of riding it occasionally when time allowed on the weekends.

Little did he know that it would change his life, giving him a totally new perspective on his surroundings and the chance to improve his health and fitness. He also mentions that riding has allowed him to become a part of the cycling community to which he now proudly belongs.

Nothing, he says, has ever given him the sense of freedom quite like his mountain bike ... and that is music to our ears.

After an invite from Mpho, Oli jumped at the opportunity to visit Soweto and ride Mpho's local urban route, which took in the world famous Vilakazi precinct, Orlando Pirates Stadium and iconic cooling towers ending how all good rides end: at the local coffee shop, Vilakazi Espresso!

Thanks to 'The Bicycle Entrepreneur' Mpumi Mtintso and his crew for joining us and making the ride even more special.
